i went out with a guy for a year and a half, we had some difficulties and all that i mean every one does we were young and like everything. we were both big partiers but i was really loyal to him. anyway i found out that he had cheated on me one nite and all that (from one his friends) so i asked him about it and he said that he was drunk and that she kinda forced herself on him and that he just sorta went along with him, anyway like i said i was dumb and didn't really stand up to him, i disagreed with what he did but didn't do anything about it except tell him not to do it again. anyway this was like five months into the relationship and that was the only time i heard of this. i broke up with him for a completely different reason (his brohter had raped my best friend and i found things were a bit difficult because his brother was actually after me but i told him to go find a hooker or something like that and i shouldn't have done that cause she a tad bit slutty) so anyway i find out the day after i broke up with him that he had been cheating on me the entire time (except for like the first week we went out) and that when his friend told me about it it was because he had walked in. Then i found out that the girl was one of my bestfriends. So my point here is that after the first time i found out i should have left him, because i had suspected that he would do it again, i kinda expected it after because the girl was a lot more slutty than me and alot hotter (guys opions here). It always hurts letting go of someone, even if you know that it isn't going to work out, or if you suspect that there is going to be a problem that arises that is going to break you up or w/e. It still hard because you were with them so long and you liked them so much. Life is hard, but most of us live through it. Good luck, hope that helped.

of course it would hurt. with a person for a year, and not feel anything for them? Then why be with them that long. How much you hurt depends on how much you felt for them, but yeah, it would hurt for at least a little while, no matter if you knew it would work out or not.
