Well, if you are 15 and worried about 10 pounds, you really shouldn't worry about it. Your body is still growing, and sometime you add weight before you add height.

Just concentrate on healthy habits right now. Eat right, get plenty of sleep, and workout 30 minutes 3 times a week. If you actually have a spare 10 pounds, it will come off. If you don't, then you will have the basic building blocks in place to stay at a healthy weight as an adult.

Don't worry - it's perfectly normal for someone your age to want to be normal. Unless your doctor puts you on a diet (and, he / she will be more than brutally honest with you if you do), don't worry about losing weight. Besides, 10 pounds is alot for one month.

It's going to take time- don't do it too fast or the loss won't stick. Just start running and jogging, or even walking daily and only eat when you feel hungry. Low impact exercise is the best way to loss weight. You really need to work out for an hour a day to get good fat burning results- if you don't have time for that then AT LEAST a half hour. Weight training is important because that is how you get your body to efficiently burn calories ALL THE TIME- even at rest. And also, DO NOT crash diet. Your body will slow way down to compensate for the lack of calories and any food you do give it will immediately be stored as fat- especially belly fat.

Using a balanced diet is the best way (some carbohydrate, some protein and some fiber -- don't cut out all fat either but use monosaturated fats like olive oil). Cut your caloric intake by 500 - 750 calories a day (below what you need to sustain your current weight) and add some exercise. There is a web site called calorie-count.com that explains in detail how to go about a healthy weight loss remedy. Good Luck!

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

Eat less, exercise more. I know it's a radical idea, but it actually works.
