I like my Panasonic... it has a flex record mode so that if a program is like 2 hours and 5 mins... you can set it to record that length and not have a quality loss like you normally would setting it at 4 hour speed. Also do not buy Memorex blank DVD's... I've used them for years and now after testing my dvd's lately a lot of them no longer work and i've been told by friend they're an inferior brand... try sony. If you're gonna spend your time and money on converting stuff to dvd then spend the extra few bucks for quality disks, something i wish i had done.
