My daughter is 2 next week and her latest trick the last month or so is opening screw top containers. She mastered the push down tops, doors etc ages ago and already knows how to climb with the aid of chairs and that you can move them to get where you want! She opens the milk, the blackcurrant juice, olive oil, infact anything with a screw top and we cannot put child locks on cos the house is rented and its a new kitchen. We have already heaps in the top cupboards which is fun for me as I am only 5ft 2! Also, what else have I to look forward to?!

I do keep an eye on my daughters aged 14 months and 2 next week but as other posters say they get up and out of bed and the world is their oyster. Unfortunately I need to do things like prepare meals and clean the house and with two of them they are quite good at diverting mums attention while the other gets up to mischief. I do punish them but I am not sure just how much they understands at their age and they continue to do so again and again. Unfortunately houses in UK are small and with all the stuff you need for kids I dont have enough space to lock things away. Some kids are just more inquisitive than others. i know my two sisters have babies too, and they are happy enough just to sit and play with toys. My youngest would but the oldest never has. She has always been into everything and has a short attention span. Life is easier than it was though, and more amusing now the youngest is more independant, was a nightmare before as husband works away about 300 days a year!

Buy some bungees of varying length and use these to secure things like the fridge. At the age they are they lack the sheer strength to open a cupboard/fridge with strong elastic holding it shut. I had a cat who could open the fridge and this worked. Also, ask your landlord if you can fit cupboard catches; these are unobtrusive or even invisible and can be bought fairly cheaply at Boots, Mothercare and other places. Also, try a doorgate on the kitchen door so they cannot get into the kitchen alone.

attempt to spin the fan blade to work out if it spins freely or in spite of if that's stiff. capacitors dont bypass undesirable very usually the way some pe3ople right here might have you ever suspect. the motor possibly has sealed bearings so which you cant oil it. if the motor is somewhat warm to touch then that's possibly off on inner overload and could take a whilst for it to reset. after it cools attempt to start the ac and notice if the fan tries to start. if it does it might desire to be the capacitor yet the two way you opt for a meter to objective the motor or capacitor. in case you will get a motor wholesale it might desire to be approximately $eighty a capacitor is a lot yet you will desire to besides substitute the cap alongside with the motor if the motor has a seperate cap. if the cap or motor fail that's barely one among thoswe issues which could happen

Keep some old containers, and store something quite bitter in them. Then leave those ones within her reach. If she is opening things to taste then you will find that her curiosity will soon wane once she starts tasting things she doesn't like. In the end she will wonder whether it's worth the risk.

You wait til they can climb out of the there cot/crib and walk into the living room and turn the telly on......

my girl did this god only knows how long she had been awake without me knowing.........

I used to use hair bands of elastic bands to hold the two knobs together on cupboards when I rented a place, tie it around quite a few times none of my children figured that one out

Punish her and she will stop. Be consistent. There is everything to look forward to, kids will get into everything and do anything. Good luck.

You can't, so I suggest you take everything you don't want her to open and put it in a box or closet that you CAN lock.
