how does me dressing like a gangsta make you not believe my situation? Yes, I've been in trouble before, been suspended like 4 times, 14 inhouses.. but I'm really just talking about this situation.. I've never been expelled before and I don't want to go to behavior skool.. i want to fight this expulsion if it's possible..

"and then they walk up to me and are like "Dont bother showing up tommorow, your suspended" so I was like "why" and then the guy dean was like "GET OFF OF MY PROPERTY NOW OR ILL HAVE YOU ARRESTED""

I'm sure there's more to this story, like what got you into trouble in the first place, but that Dean sure isn't helping matters... even if you're suspended he should still tell you in a normal manner what you're suspended for and for how long, after all apart from knowing you stay home tomorrow you should still know when to come back, right? (unless *he* had already given up on you & was hoping to push you into a fight, giving him an excuse to expell you completely). Your response, yelling back at him, wasn't that smart either but I take it you're a teenager and he's the adult, if this story is true as written -even if it's only one scene out of a much larger story- the dean sure didn't handle it correctly.
I think you should learn to control your temper, don't let others push you into fights... even if they start. They can use it to manipulate you and the like, don't give them that satisfaction. Also yes, if someone tells you to leave, even if you're only waiting for a ride, legally you have to go. So next time wait for the ride off school property, he can't kick you off the public street. Legally the dean is probably right... but if the Dean indeed responded like that to your simple 'why?', then he manipulated you into that situation. Not something that's easy to prove but experience will teach you how to avoid it in the future -by staying calm... besides if you think he deserved what you said to me, let me tell you... if he did it on purpose he doesn't care about the insult, it's just what he wanted.... but nothing p*sses off a bully worse than when they don't get any results :)

Actually, you can fight this ticket based on what you said. If you were taken back into the school and yelled at by the principal and then the dean called the cops and you were on school property, how could you not be if they had taken you back into the school to talk to the principal.

I do have to say that I think your not telling everything. There has to be more to it than what youv'e said.

Also, did the dean threaten you with violence? Did he say I'm going to beat you or anything like that? Did you threaten him?

Threats of bodily harm are against the law! Its called assault, if you hit someone its called battery. So, if either of you threatend the other, the law was broken. And, assuming he is a full grown man and you are a normal sized 13 yr old, then his threat would be considered serious by the courts where as your would not.

Normally school have to have some sort of hearing to expell as student...you will need to investigate what the rules are at your school for your state. You may be able to do this online.

Finally, if you are friendly with this one dean, you may want to call her and try and speak with her on the phone at school, don't call her home as it could be taken in a threatening manner. You need to talk to her calmly and find out details and why the male dean was after you in the first place if you truly don't know.

Your rights here actually depend on whether you are a public school student or a private school student. Also, whether you are in highschool or college ( a question I raise only b/c you called them "deans" - which here in the states is reserved for high ranking officials at the college/university level). Nevertheless, if a university (public or private) or a public highschool then you likely have a good cause of action for sueing them b/c they are required to afford you "due process" before expelling you. If what you said above is the "whole story" and all they did was expel you b/c they think you're an a**hole (for example), then they can't do that. They have violated some right of yours and b/c they have caused you damages - you can get $$$$$! If on the other hand the school is a private highschool - and you live in an area that provides "free" education to minors (and you qualify as one) then it is likely in the school contract the parents (payers) sign, there is a clause in there that when you read it will probably sound alot like "we can expel any one we think is an a**hole" and they would likely be able it get away with it.
Finally, what you said to them wasn't wrong - dude, F'em! But, you need to understand that part of being an adult is to recognize to control your emotions. Not b/c you want to impress anybody - but b/c when you do, you will always be in a better position to stand up for yourself and win than when you don't. For example, regardless of which "school" situation above applies to you, you would be in a better position to get the deans "expelled" than you are because you said what you said. Hope that makes sense. Hope this long a** answer helps. Much love and Good luck my brother.

Wow, 7th Grade, - what you did I was doing at age 20. LOL - but don't do that (be like me) - Just replace Highschool with Jr. High above, the same answer applies.

No you cant fight the ticket. Just be lucky that thats all you got. Also not sure why you were expelled. Theres a hard lesson in life you need to learn and thats respect. No matter what someone says even if its them being stupid just walk away you will get so much farther in life that way. You egged him on so what did you expect? Theres obviously been some past problems there. Just remember to turn the other cheek and yes i know its hard but you will be so much better off. TRUST ME

You can sue anyone for just about anything!

In reality, it sounds like you might need an attitude adjustment.

Quit trying to be Mr. Tough Guy! Try being a good student for once.

Your life is still recoverable from the doom you think you are having. Try doing what is right for a change. Try and become an A student. Dress like a person, not like a gangsta!

It works. I did it! You can too!

It is your choice what you do with your life regardless of your situation. In the bible Daniel was about 14 or 16 when he was captured, taken about a months walk, given a new name and was being educated in the Babylonian schools. He trusted God and did what was right regardless of the situation. So think about believing and trusting God and Jesus and think about what you want to do in 5 years, 10 years, 20... and get your act together.

Good Luck and may God bless.
