Yes, Glossolalia From God or Man by Jimmy Jividen and the Holy Spirit by V. E. Howard. Both books are a documentation of the tongue speaking movement of today with facts and documentation and backed by scripture.

The gift is from the Lord, but truly is for the hearers, not the speakers.

So many factions of religion pride themselves on the passage in Acts, and the passage in Corinthians. However, the points in time when the gift of tongues (or "languages") were used were where multiple nationalities were present. Corinth was a port city, and had many foreigners passing through. The second chapter in Acts depicts the many nations that were present.

In America, we have the common language of English. Why would God, with as much common sense and wisdom that he bestows on us, use anything but our common form of communication for spiritual purposes?

If God sends you to Japan as a missionary, he could fully give you the gift of tongues - But the manifestation of the gift would be evident through the hearers - You could be speaking in English, and they would hear your words in Japanese. That is the gift of tongues.

Try books on Spanish, Italian, German, French, Russian, Gaelic, Egyptian, Arabic, Herbrew, Yiddish, Turkish, Romanian, Latin, Greek, Portugese, Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Taiwanese, Hindi, Japanese, Hawaiian, etc.

That'd help you speak in tounges, definitely.

Or, you could just go to a Pentacostal church.

A book on the Holy Spirit? Try the Bible. It's a good read. He dies in the end, by the way. Probably ruined it for some of you. I stole that joke from a nun. :-)

If their are any that claim they can teach you how to speak in tongues, beware. You can only speak in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Speaking in tongues is a farce.
It's just another example of 'pious fraud' it's been studied and it's nothing but jibberish.
Like everything else that comes out of christians' mouths...
