Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here

The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.

I am no oncologist, but to be honest, it is not common, but also not rare either. I know of several people that have had multiple tumors, and I know people that have similar cancers in your same age range.
Because of your age and the stage they found it in, I would expecct that you have a high success rate.

It's not spread to the lymph nodes? Great news :]
I want to be an oncosurgeon, so whoever you meet that does your surgery is a pretty wickedly cool person.
(:
It's not unheard of young people having carcinoma.

Good luck with the surg. As far as recurrence this may or may not happen no way to tell. You will prob. go through Cemo or radiation therapy. Once again good luck. Oh and Cancer knows no age.
