It will continue to grow. Just look at the percentage it's leapt in the past few years. 10 years from now, it might be $25000 to get in, but with the booming interest in poker, I'd bet they still get 5000 people in it & that would increase the pot substantially.

Smaller in 2007, then start to grow again. The shut down of some poker sites to US players will limit the field somewhat for 2007 since a major portion of the players came from Internet poker (satellites, etc.). As the game grows worldwide, so will the tournaments. Also, any increase to the tournament fee will cause a reduction in number of players, but an increase in the prize pot.

It will get smaller because there will be less contestants. There will be less contestants because the poker sites are limiting the number of free world series admissions they give out. Free passes was a substantial reason why 2006's World Series was the biggest one in history.

it will definitelty get smaller
the pros feel that the field is too large and too much luck is involved ... so there was talk of raising the entry fee to $25000 instead of 10k ... but now that poker sites are closing, there are less satelite entries ... last year there were 2000 entries from online satelites .. almost 1/3 of the people

They should grow because it (Texas Hold'Em) is getting more popular, and that means more people will sign up to play, thus driving up the prize
