there are several suggestions i could give you if you're looking for healthier alternatives but if you're seeking help i would suggest calling 1-800-DONT-CUT (3668-288) because they can send you information on their programs which are specifically designed to help people with stopping. and just so you know there is hope

I completely understand, I myself am going through the same thing at the moment. What I do is snap a rubber band on my wrist several times, or the ice and salt trick. What you need to do is set up a good support system, of good friends, maybe a counselor (I don't have one) and just try different techniques of relaxing. I myself try to meditate, or go for a run. May the goddess bless you.

ok so my friend has been cutting for 3 years and she went to the doctor and the doctor told her to try this new method where when you have the urge to cut you cut a piece of cloth or a rag or something other than yourself

my friend started to do this and then she stopped wanting to cut herself and she didnt need to cut anything at all and now she is mine

it took about a month
yay!!!!!!!
i highly recomend this
it saved my friend and it should save you

good luck!!!

You might have try a few people before you find someone that you really click with and can trust, but I think it's important to get help for something like this. Also they might perscribe or send you to someone else who can perscribe an anti-depressant, which would help you to stop. Best wishes :)

I don't see why cutting is such a bad thing...it increases your pain tolerance as well as enhances your immune system.
