My cat is a short haired tabby..he weighs 7 pounds...is this big for his age?

Hi there...weight is dependent of the breed background as some cats are larger breeds than others (e.g. Maine Coon cats). 7 pounds is a healthy weight for a male tabby kitten.

My 6 month kitten is 6 1/4 pounds. He's also half Main Coon, they grow up to be big kitties.

That would depend on what kind of cat breeds are in him. The larger he'll grow to, the larger he'll be as a kitten.

it is a normal weight for an average kitten - his weight depends on his parents and his eatting habits - as well as his activity - but 7 lbs is fine for a 6mos old. Hi might be a big boy,.....
