i just used hair color remover to remove the dark brown hair color from my hair. then i dyed over it with a light ash brown shade thinking that it would help neutralize the orange. it helped a little, but my hair still has an orange tinge to it. what can i use on my brown hair to eliminate or tone down the orange?

Wait 24 hrs then use a dark-brown neutral filler, then try the color you want.If you don't wait it will turn orange again.

Wait a little while before dying again . Then you can then stay with the same shade of brown or go back to your original darker brown hair dye but this time mix with a drabber (usually 2 choices 1 for light & 1 for darker shades). It really helps. Also stay away from 'golden' shades. Anything with 'ash' also works best.

uughhhhhhh did you ensue to apply sunlight in btw?? lightening kits are made to lighten organic undyed hair. some even say you cant apply it to dyed hair reason it truly is going to turn orange. i'd advise death your hair a grimy blond, with cooler undertones to counteract with the orange. perchance even mild brown. quite i imagine in case you dye your hair a caramel coloration it would want to conceal the orange prettily. yet in case you do opt for blond hair, do as i stated and dye it an ashy/dirty blond. wait some days and integrate about a tsp of baking soda at the same time along with your shampoo. blend and lather on on your hair. it would want to certainly get lighter. Baking soda also has lots of benefit for you hair, like including quantity, shine, and stripping extra buildup from products. dont attempt this better than once a week because it truly is going to dry up your hair. continually persist with with deep conditioning. you could also attempt lemon juice, which will lighten your hair naturaly, go away it in for abt 20 minutes and rinse out.

You'd probably have to go a darker shade of brown to get the orange out. But you might want to wait awhile after using all of thos ehair products.

I have tried Natural Match by L'oreal and it worked great. Read the box and recs for colors before you pick the shade.
