It will actually help by getting rid of the bacteria that causes pimples. Just be sure to use a light moisturizer as well, since the alcohol and peroxide can seriously dry out your skin!

Alcohol excessively strips the oil from your face, which in return makes your pores produce more oil (excessively). Don't use alcohol. As far as peroxide goes I am not sure. If the pimple is opened or scabby, it will leave a white splotch on you face. Steam your face every night. Meaning heat up some water on the stove to a boil, turn it off, and put your face over it for at least ten minutes. This will help unclog your pores and you will less pimples. It also helps if you have sinus allergies.I recently started using Neutragena, it was harsh at first, but it does work.

Regular peroxide does nothing for pimples. Benzoyl peroxide is used in acne medications. It works as a peeling agent, increasing skin turnover and clearing pores, thus reducing the bacterial count there as well as directly as an antibacterial. Alcohol is only good as an antiseptic and is too harsh to use on pimples. You would be better off getting an acne blemish cream with benzoyl peroxide that you can put directly on the pimples and blemishes

To simply answer your question, yes it will hurt but yes it will help. It hurts because when you put rubbing alchohol or peroxide on a pimple the burning means that it is working.

I know that if you put alcohol on it then it will dr y it up usually causing it to get smaller and easier to deal with peroxid eis found in many acne products so it should help at least a little bit.

Asprin works much better! Either take 2 orally or smash & mix with a little water to form a paste & apply directly.

it might help because of the antibacterial properties in them but it will really dry out your skin..try an on the spot treat thats especially for that..try Neutrogena Rapid Clear on the spot treatment..it has salicylic acid which helps to kill bateria and shrink it up and now they formulated it so it shoots the medication faster into the pore..and its inexpensive ;)
