find a need and fill that need.

I turned all my art skills and hobbies into a business. I also had a lot to learn .... web design, HTML, self promotion, the in's and outs of shipping, bookkeeping, examining the trends and matching or exceeding those trends.

I am self employed .. I work at my home studio ... make my own hours ...

The best advice I can give you ... use complete words and proper sentence structure when communicating to clients. How can anyone perceive you as a serious business person if you write.

Crochet. It is really easier than you might think to learn how. There is usually books and/or VCR tapes etc. at your local library. After 30 some odd years I am finally taking orders to make profits on my beautiful items.Crochet has also been very therapeutic for me personally when I have had depression over the years.I am now 50 years old.It is not a get-rich-quick idea but you can also have presents and gifts ready for special occasions etc.I also teach others how when they show an interest.Maybe you know someone who can help you learn if you take an interest.I taught myself from a Redbook Magazine over 30 years ago when I was only 15 Years old.Started teaching my 3 children at age 8.....2 boys 1 girl. The boys don't do it and my daughter can't see well enough to do it but at least they all know how;At least the basic stitches. The easiest way for me was to remember the abbreviations of the stitches first.I believe it is becoming a reviving art, finally.
