I'm looking at the question trying to figure out what it is that you are asking.
Are you asking how to be good at tournament TKD?
Like all other sports, practice hard & under the watchful eye of a good coach who can spot your flaws & offer constructive input on fixing them.
Are you asking how or if TKD makes you a better athlete?
TKD training improves muscle tone flexibility & balance among other things.

what do you mean. Tae Kwon Do is a sport and if you take it and practice and get high ranks than I guess you could be considered an athlete. But I don't really understand your question, email me a more detailed one and I would be happy to help.
