I am 15 years old. I'm 5"4 and weigh 126 pounds. I really want to get into shape and tone my body before semi formal next month. Whats some good ways to tone up? I have a tiny bit of fat on my stomach and I want to flatten it? Can you recommend some good exercises?

try starting light. Do 10 pushups a day and 20 situps. Jog in place for a minute or two while watching your favorite TV show. You'll be amazed at how much this can improve your muscle tone. You seem pretty good for your height/ age/ weight, though...

whatever you do, do not stop eating, that can actually make you gain more weight. Just do sit ups every night or go buy a yoga/pilates video at Target, I recommend Denis Austin. Also, eat three meals (porportioned) a day. Cut all fats. Eat mostly vegetables and a small palm sized piece of meat. Go with vegetables and like one fruit every other day. Milk, dairy products, breads, and too much fruit will cause you to gain excess weight or stop you from doing what you want to do. But you are 15 yrs old and 5'4" weighing 126 lbs. you are by no means having to worry about your weight. Go look at your BMI (body mass index) and you are probably at the lower end of the scale for your group. So whatever you do, I wouldn't worry about it, but worry about a dress that has the right style, color, and fit to match your body type....its all in the way you wear and feel in it that will ultimately make you feel like a princess. Good luck and have fun!

Just goto the gym and ask the people at the desk. I lost +40lbs doing that. LOL no more college beer gut!

Watch what you eat. Try and stay away from bread, potatoes, Sugar, Pasta, and Fatty meats.

Have one slice of bread instead of two when you eat a sandwich. Eat wheat wraps. Wheat bread when you don't have wraps. Eat crackers instead of chips.

I work out 3 days a week about 2 hours each day. Slowly move your time up on the bike machines start with 15min and add 5 mins each week.

My workout. Crunches, left, right, and straight situps, (3 sets of 12 ) 7 free weights, 7 machines (3 sets of 12 on each). 30 mins on bike. Mix it up after two months your body will adapt.

Also when your eating and your not hungry ask yourself. Why are you eating? Are you stressed out about something? Bad day at school? Have a glass of water instead of that cupcake.

Start by doing aerobic exercise at least four days a week for about 30 minutes at a time. It could be as simple as walking, but could be swimming, jogging, aerobic dance, tennis, bike riding, treadmill, elliptic trainer, etc.
Aerobic exercise is the best plan for overall weight loss/management. For toning your abs, start with crunches. Learn how to use those big exercise balls for core strength and you will see some improved muscle tone.
Start with smaller quantities of reps and build up on them by the week. If you start with too much too soon, you will get sore and discouraged.

Cardio exercise goes a long way... Jogging, long distance running, sprinting actually burns fat fast and helps keep it off better than any type of running... Also bicycle, and swimming burns fat... It seems that your stomach is the area you are most concerned about so crunches, and sit ups would do some good in addition to the cardio exercise... And eating healthily is also a good aid in keeping your body up to par... Good luck!!!

1) Get up at about 6:00 am, morning run.
2) Jump up to touch the top of the door << redoing it again and again and stop in about 10 min.(Note: Don't jump so fast or just after you eat)
3) Eat more healthy stuff like vegetables and fruits and not so much meat. (Note: Fish are okay)
4) Pushups and situps <<30 each

>>That's all I can think of for now.
