I would think that the age isn't as important as your being compatible with the woman....shared interests, beliefs, movies, dining, sports etc. and just "clicking" together, being yourselves, feeling comfortable with each other and just plain happy. I would say look for the age range that you have the most in common with. For a 50 year old, I'd say go for the early 40's to mid 50's.
