It would depend on what all the fling involved, or was caused by. Was the fling to cause jealousy and over-protectiveness- then no.
If the fling was more of a looking for more- then yes.
If the fling was to find a way out, then probibly not...
Also, don't expect to get things going again with the fling couple- if the marriage is there, then respect it- keep the conversations above the table, maybea little in the corner from time to time, but also think about letting the husband know who she is talking to- not necessarily that you were the fling guy, but that you are an old friend that wants to keep in touch...
If you want to rekindle old memories- be careful, and if you want to act on them, its best not to- or have it out in the open before making plans...

There is no such thing as a " friendly level" when you had a fling.
Once a fling always a fling and if she is married now she is worse than that.
