Who's dating the guy, you or your friends? If you really like him, don't worry about what other people think. And if they really are your friends, they would respect your decision, even if they don't like him. What matters is what makes you happy, not them.

girl,i know how this is first hand. i was dating a guy that NONE of my friends liked and i kept with him and it SUCKED. my friends never wanted to hang with me when he was around. they talked **** about him all the time. it just was not something i would ever want to go through again. yes my friends were wrong for doing that and treating me that way but i asked myself, which is better. having a boyfriend who really isnt all that special,or keeping my 4 or 5 friends who want nothing to do with me right now. its also the same with your parents why would you want to date someone your parents hate? it just doesnt make anything fun because you cant take him places that you want to because others dont like him.

just think about who you want to keep around. your friends,or the guy. if he is an amazing bf then this is hard. but if he isnt so much that good,i say stick with the friends other guys will come around.

What do WE do? We do what we want and make our own decisions. We don't care if our friends don't like them or our hair or our shoes, because they are ours, not theirs. A REAL friend would appreciate the fact that this person makes you happy, and would therefore be happy for you.
On the other hand, if the guy is garbage and cheats or beats on you, then maybe your friends are just trying to save someone they care about. It is all about what makes YOU happy. Whatever that is, take it and keep it.

it depends a lot on why they don't like him. My friends don't really like my bf that much either, but I don't care because I know that he's a gentleman and that he's a good guy... so if you know for sure that he's a good guy, then forget what your friends say. In the end, it doesn't matter what they think, all that matters is what you think

Well dont listen to your parents all the time but keep in mind theyre advice they only want the best for you. But if you like him then just keep going out with him and tell your parents that if they dont like him, then thats fine with you but your gonna keep dating him

I've had boyfriends that my friends didn't like. In every case, he turned out to be a psycho. Maybe you should listen to your friends.

Ask them why they don't like him. Think about their answer(s) very carefully. Then think about the guy you are dating and stop being in denial that he is in fact a loser.

try to analyze why your friends don't like him and be objective. they may have seen something bad about him that you didn't notice. if you feel your friends have no grounds to dislike him, then continue to go out with him. your friends will eventually learn to accept him.

well for example you can tell them what they don't like about him you know and if they have a reason for it and you think it's bad might as well stop dating him
