Publisher is not part of Office, you need to purchase it separately.

The version of Microsoft Office that came with that PC is what makes the difference. MS Office Professional will have Publisher. So will MS Office Small Business. But MS Office Standard will not.

Most of the time you'll have to purchase it either separately or in a better package.

Your best bet if you absolutely need it would be to download the trial from Microsoft's website.

It's as low as $80 on Google's "Froogle" page (froogle.com)

Hope this helps,

typically when you buy a new computer it doesn't come with mircosoft office, you have to purchase it seperatly and most of the time all you get is mircosoft works.
publisher isn't apart of the office package though so that you would definetly have to purchase seperately

Publisher is in office xp. I have both 2003 and Xp and it was in my XP package.
I know you can get it on Limewire, because I share there
