please dont use anything you can buy in your grocery isle. trust me! dove is made with fillers that come from the TIDE products. it is called "sludge" and they use it as fillers in many shampoos... (i live in cincinnati where p&g is located)

try paul mitchell awphuwii (i dont know how to spell it but thats how you say it!) and also the biosilkk lines.

or ask your hairstylist. get your hair trimmed often and use a heat protectant if you are using a flat iron. the CHI iron is best because it gets super hot thus not in contact with your hair as long as the cheap ones that dont get as hot. they stay on your hair longer to get the straight look.

if you are using a relaxer to straighten your hair.... use this shampoo called nioxin... search the web they have a site... and they have a nioxin number 9 which is specifically for chemically treated hair.

JUST PLEASE DONT USE PANTINE OR DOVE OR ANYTHING YOU CAN BUY IN THE STORE. spend the few extra dollars to get quality products.

you can also do a cheap oil treatment: take olive oil (the cooking kind) put it in a glass. heat it up for a few minutes. then put it in your hair and cover it. let it soak in. shampoo twice and dont condition. if you blow dry, do so. your hair will be fluff!!

Pantene pro-v restoratives or redkin shampoos for heat damaged hair but if you want the best advice use a ceramic straightener or lay off the straightener if possible use extra conditioner.

I straighten my hair frequently too, and i use Garnier Fructis conditioner for Dry and Damaged hair. But when i use it i leave it in my hair for ten minutes before washing it out. This can be a bit time consuming if you are in a rush, but it helps. They also have a serum that i find helps for Dry and Damaged too. Also i have heard there are products that you can put in your hair before you straighten to protect it.

Use a heat protector on your hair to help protect it before you straighten it tresseme has a heat protector you could use. Also look in tresseme and see the types of shampoos and conditionars they have. They have one for dry and damaged hair try it.
