i got a panasonic digital camera today.

i got the DMC-TZ1 model. and so far i don't like it. i'm gonna try it again for a few more days but if i still don't like it, i'm exchanging it for a different one.

any suggestions to what i should exchange it for?

whats the thing you dont like about i suggest that you search the web w/ regards to the experts opinion w/ your camera maybe then youl be able to appreciate it more & understand much beter its fuinctionality because as far as i am concerned panasonic digital cameras are one of the best in the market right now.

I think you should definitely exchange it. The Panasonic DMC-TZ1 (as well as most other Panasonics), has way too much 'noise', even at low ISO.
For better image quality and a 12x optical zoom you should look at the Canon S3 IS (6MP) or the Sony DSC-H5 (7.1MP). I don't really like the styling of the Sony, but that's only my opinion.
Or another very good camera that I would recommend, is the Canon A640. It only has 4x optical zoom, however it does have 10MP and full manual controls.

Studied cameras for 2 months, we got a son that's camera biz, worked at TV and radio stations and knows whats the best out there. We settled on a Sony DSC-H 5 It takes pictures and also does video, zooms in 12 times. We are really enjoying this camera. Had it for a week now and no complaints. Hope this helps.
