Did anyone out there ever try an over the counter colon cleanse?

The research I have seen on detoxing says it's not a good idea. Your body has everything it needs to get rid of waste. Even if you do use one, you are going to "dirty" your colon again when you start digesting your next meal. Fiber is a natural colon cleanser. Eat some granola and veggies to detox.

When people eat right and drink enough water and all that good stuff, your body naturally detoxes itself. HOWEVER, in today's society where people stuff McDonalds and candybars and soda pop down their throats, the body doesn't always have the necessary ingredients to detox itself.

The best detox you can do for yourself is just starting to eat right, drink plenty of water, and exercise moderately ( don't know if exercise detoxes, but its healthy regardless).

Those over hte counter detox things and "detox diets" and all, you should consult your doctor before doing that, to see not only if your body is at hte point that you need that, or even if your body can handle it.

This question arises many times everyday and I still wonder why people don't search the archives.

Your body is a natural detox/cleansing machine. When it is supplied with plenty of water, the liver and digestive system automatically clean. Save your money on the gimmicks.
