I need a new low cost scanner so that I can scan documents to my computer.

As a MCSE and A+ certified tech, I am asked this by my customers all the time, the most cost effecent is an "All in One" device, a scanner, printer, fax and copier all in one device, they run in the US around $60-150.

Look for a device than has a high DPI, dots per inch ratio, something in the 4800X 2400, this will give you fine line scans and you can take old photos and documents to a degree they look like originals.

And with a all in one you can do it from one device and save space on or around your workstation, and if you have a dialup internet service you can also fax and recieve them to so this make it the most profitable purchase.
