My brother is returning tomorrow from almost 1 1/2 yrs in Iraq. One of his favorite gifts were calling cards (all gift must be small and portable) so that he could stay in touch, and anything else that reminded him of home. Depends on your fiance for example -- Plenty of pictures of you both together, you alone, his family, etc. he will come to cherish these.
After he leave send him lots of small packages with special treats such as Candy bars, CDs, Stabucks coffee, magazines, disposable cameras, etc.
Please tell your fiance thank you for his service. We all pray for his save return!!

One thing that is simple but effective is maintain contact with him when hes over there. Write letters always telling about what ever when ever. A letter keeps you going. and having extra socks and shirts is also a plus.
