That happened to me one time, and i thought it was still in. So i slept and the next day it didn't feel like it was in. Maybe your eye is just use to the being in. Called phatom contact like phatom arm if you loose it it feels like it is still there for awhile

You know what I think? I bet it's not there! I went to an ophthalmologist twice to get one out that had slipped up and both times it wasn't even in my eye! The feeling that it was up there was because my cornea had become slightly irritated making it feel like a contact was up there. There's no way that contact is going to slip up too far and disappear. You should be able to see it. Anyway, be careful about those extended wear things...they cause a lot of infections which can become really serious. I think you should just start taking them out at night -- it may be more work, but it's safer. If you can actually SEE the lens up there than just keep massaging the eyelid gently until you can bring it down over your iris. However, I still have a hunch that you've lost it and you just think it's up there.

First try putting some rewetting drops in your eye. Then rub your eyelid in a downward motion, try pinching slightly on your eyelid and blinking at the same time keep working it and it should come down to a point you can get it out.If you keep your eyes moisturized it will make the whole contact lens wearing situation easier.

close your eyes, and move your eyesso that they are pointed down, then move them slowly back and forth from right to left while they are pointed down.
i have the same problem alot!
p.s. make sure the concact lens is ACTUALLY in your eye, because once i thought that it was put it was actually stuck to my shirt! :)
good luck!

If you slept with them in, they might be in the corner of your eye.
