I am going to NYC to take a test Saturday and need to know approximately how long it would take to walk 9 blocks?

Northbound or Southbound 40 seconds per block with traffic lights 9 blocks would take about 8 - 10 minutes.

Depends if it's across an avenue, those blocks are longer, and crossing teh streets take longer because the streets are wider and the lights take longer. I'd give 2 minutes per a block (really depends where you are though) so that's 18, make it 25-30 just to be safe.

Like everyone said, it depends if you are wakling across nine Avenues or nine Streets. YOu need to be specific. If you are walking nine Streets, you can walk that in less than 10 minutes. If you are walking nine Avenues, I would suggest taking the cross town bus, that is a long way to wak and it will probabaly take you 20-25 minutes.

Depends if you're walking between Avenues or Streets, and it also depends on the neighborhood and time of day. I guess on average, nine blocks shouldn't take much more than twenty minutes or so.
