This is pathetic nonsence. God doesn't need anyone to die for him. At war you fight and die for those who stand and die next to you, the rest does not exhist.

i will tell u what is worth dying for. my family, my country, my brothers in arms. you will be surprised what you will do when you see your battle buddy injured or killed by an ied. just because we don't see the good news in iraq doesn't mean there isn't any. I can't tell you how good it feels to see an iraqi child smile at the new shoes he recieved from people back in the us.

All soldiers will undoubtedly say that "the country is worth dying for". This is correct and all soldiers believe in this.

The German and Japanese soldiers in World War II also died for their country. American soldiers who fought in Vietnam and the current war also died for their country.

The real question is the morality of waging a war. Is it righteous?. Is it justified?. Is it moral?. Depending on a person's judgment to these questions, only will the answer becomes clear if a soldier's death is just or in vain.

People. There is a quote about soldiers that goes. "They sweat and bleed so that others dont have to" being able to have that selfless attitude is something that helps you understand what you really value. I would die to protect any average citizen. The only dam thing is along with saving the school teachers and the doctors, you also save the thiefs and murderers. kind of sucks you cant choose who to fight for.

At this point in my life, only my children are worth my life. When I was younger, and in the Corps, I wouldn't of died for this country, but I would have helped the other guy die for his.
