Fakes that think they're real witches.

Witchcraft simply means "sorcery". It isn't a religion.

Some even have fake degrees in Divinity they get here:

Wiccans call themselves witches. Wicca has a fake history.

Think about it, if they were real, why can't they just blast me with a hex and keep me from answering? They best they can do is give me thumbs down as any mere mortal.

If you really want to learn Wicca, you have to go to a real coven that practices skyclad (nude) and really has the great rite (tantric sex), and doesn't simply stick a blade in a chalice. If they're scared to take off their clothes, they're probably scared of real witchcraft too. If you are not 18 yet, your parents would have to sign a waiver to let you join a coven (a real coven anyway). Real witches are initiated into a coven, and fake ones learn from reading books and websites. Usually these types are morbidly obese and don't want to be naked with other people.

In order to become a real Wiccan, you will have to be intiated via the Great Rite by a High Priest. You cannot do this by reading a book or a website (this isn't meant to be mean, it's just reality).

A lot of people will email you and offer to "train" you. Often times these types only know what they read out of a book or a website, and haven't actually been initiated. There are just somethings you have to do in person. So, just keep those things in mind.

There have been some good points brought up. I don't think anyone mentioned there are spirtual consequences to practicing Witchcraft, and I don't think that gets stressed enough by followers of the Craft (and I'm guilty of that too). Yes, some people do have bad expirences in Wicca, and other forms of occultism as well. Even if one person tells you they never have had a bad expirence, that doesn't mean you won't. No one can guareentee what you will or won't do or what mistakes you may make when you practice Wicca. This is not a game.

The Good Witch's Bible for instance does come with a disclaimer that the authors are not responsible for what happens to the user, even including spirit possession. That's one reason I reccomend it so much.

This is why I bristle when I see fluffies giving out spells online like candy. They'll mention the law of return (probably learned it from watching Charmed), and then turn around and give out a "an ancient Celtic love spell" that's minutes old. Arrgh.

Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Frostie, Algard, are all real.

Both! Some of us are authentic and have practiced many years, then you have the "fluff bunnies" who are claiming to be witches either because they want to shock their parents or they think it makes them cool. Usually teen age girls who get wrapped up in "Charmed", or other such TV shows. And occasionally boys who are trying to emulate Harry Potter. Being a "Witch" is nothing like what is portrayed in movies or on Television. There is nothing flashy about it. we are fairly simple people with "abilities" that everyone has, ours are just honed and utilized. Lots of research and practice. Anyone that thinks we can torn someone into a toad had better get a grip or reality, maybe actually study a little about witchcraft so they will be more understanding & less judgmental.
Either way it goes please stop listening to people who claim it is of Satan! They are too narrow minded and ignorant to try to find out just what witchcraft is really about. None of us would ever do anything to hurt anyone (or anything). we use our "magick" primarily for healing & protection.

For some people witches are very real, as for me witches are fake. I know where they get their so called power. Witches use a second hand power. I prefer to go directly to the source. The future of witches are clearly written and shall come to pass. What people do with there time on earth, is completely up to them. The deeds of all people shall be judged by the word.

We are real. We are just like anyone else. We are not evil. We do not believe in the devil or satan or whatever name you give him. We are healers and homemakers. We seek to keep peace within our lives and with nature. No we don't fly on brooms or do most things that hollywood portrays. But we are good people.

The real ones don't call themselves witches for the most part. They tend to live quiet lives and congregate together on holy days without much fanfare to worship their goddess.
The fake ones sell you "New Age" products. They tend to have a lot of websites.

Witches are believers in the Wiccan faith. Yes they are real.

Those who can do the skills historically called 'witches' are mystics, not necessarily pagan at all.

I don't "think" anything. I am... real.

Been following the path of witchcraft for over 30 years. And been Wiccan for the past 16 or 17 years.

Last time I checked, witches do exist, though they often are unlike their Hellywood counterparts in many ways.
