I have Tourette syndrome and probably don't feel pain differently.

But, certain things annoy me that might not bother other people. Tags in the back of shirts are nervewracking. The touch of certain materials gives me the creeps, cannot wear it. I would prefer soft cotton for all my clothes. I can't wear anything stiff or slinky and anything with metal on it is annoying.

TS is not that uncommon. If you have obsessive compulsive disorder or ADHD, you pretty much have Tourette syndrome but without the tics.

I have Tourette's and Asperger's (slight Autism). It's not really pain tolerance differences, but I'm extremely sensitive to many everyday things. I only wear cotton, can't stand the noise of a TV, can only listen to the same CD's over and over again, etc. Little things like that.

OK, I'll admit it, I had an epidural while in labor with both of our kids. But that's not a Tourette's thing, it's just an "OUCH this freakin hurts" thing :-)

I have tourettes, and I can handle more pain than most people, because I always grind my teeth and bite my tongue. Like the lady said above me, I get annoyed very easily though evn by seemingly unimportant things like lint in my socks or pockets Eww.

ii'm no expert, but i think autistic kids have sensory issues. my son is autistic. he cant always verbalize what is hurting him. But. I've noticed that he can stub his toe, or slam his hand in a drawer, and barely be bothered. On the other hand, I can put my hand on his head and stroke his hair and he screams bloody murder that i'm killing him. it is really strange.

I don't think that is true but they are more sensitive in the prospective of hearing. They get overwhelmed with loud noises.
