Darby is right. Also, mint is used fresh and dried to make teas, and to season salads and other dishes. It is also used to make mint jelly.

There are, of course, candies that are called mints, because they are flavored with mint (the herb). At least, originally they all got their flavor from the herb. I think now some have artificial flavoring. You'd have to check the ingredients list.

Mint is actually an herb. It's harvested and the oil extracted so that candy can be flavored to taste like mint.

Um, peppermint patties are candy. But mint itself is actually an herb.

Mint is a plant and is used for flavoring everything...
My grandfather used to have a feild of it..
It looks like a bunch of weeds growing and the smell is so strong when you have a lot...
Fresh mint is sooo good though..

if you want it to be but its more like a once in a while candy but its also to make breath smell better...its kinda like a chewy medicine... you like it when you chew it....but you cant keep eating it like candy lol i dunno
