Seems to be.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

Let me answer this with another question. Which gods are real? The Greeks believed in their gods for longer than the hypothesis of Christ has existed. And the Romans believed in gods. The Egyptians had gods, the Norse had gods, the Chinese and Indians, everyone's had a god. They've believed since the beginning of time. All of a sudden, why are so many Christians believing in their god and denying everything else? Doesn't that sound absured? "Our new and recent god is real but the thousand of long lasting gods aren't"?

So the monotheistic view is very flawed. If there is one god, there could be thousands. Or there could be none. But I'm sure there isn't just one.

God is real because you can't prove he isn't. How else was everything made? He's real because I feel it. The Bible say it so.

Ok these common answers pretty much sums it all up. Although we humans are very intelligent doesn't mean we know everything there is to life. But that's ok, it's ok to not know and just be a mystery. But history shows we have this crazy need to know everything. We take the things we know and make up the things we don't. We are all agnostic. Beliefs and religion is where we differ. These beliefs have given us something to fight about since the beginning of time.

1. If a God created existence, then whether that God can act depends only on whether that God chooses to. However, with infinite time, a God cannot be subjected to external pressures hastening the God to take action more at one given point than any other.

2. With infinite wisdom, knowledge, and power to achieve the resolution of any dissatisfaction, a God has no alternative course of choice or action besides that God's perfect one, which with infinite knowledge that God must have predetermined. Thus, a God has no free will.

3.) If Jesus lived as a mortal man, that means every day He had to stand somewhere and pee pee out of His penis, or squat down and take a dump out of His butt hole and (hopefully) wipe His butt. I'm sorry, but that's just not my idea of a "God."

No I personally do not believe in God but I can't prove or disprove his existence, however I can prove that if God is real then he deserves absolutely no respect whatsoever he is quite frankly a narcissistic, psychopathic, hypocritical, sexist maniac and for people to believe in him for his love and compassion is obscured and deluded! Let me make this very clear I am not against most Christians and other religious people and I'm not saying that religion has never inspired compassion but in balance it has caused a heck of a lot more vile and malicious acts (not just talking about Muslim extremists) so it bewilders me that religious believers simply refuse to accept there religion for what it truly is.

Question of our generation.
Is God real? I don't know. Have you met him? Has he signed a declaration that he's real?
I'm agnostic so am open to the idea of God but right now, I cannot answer your question with a definitive 'yes' or 'no'.
Some believe in God because they want a source of comfort.
Others believe in God because they have been influenced by those who do.
And the rest don't or are uncertain because they see no proof.

People aren't using there BRAINS. THERE IS SCIENCE TO BACKUP THAT GOD DOESN'T EXIST. And no matter how many times some weird person tells you that hundreds of years ago their uncle saw an angel or some **** they have no evidence. Does that make any sense at all? Like to random people just pop out of mid air. Like how could anybody think like that. It just sounds like something a two year old made up. It makes no sense. For example, If my mom told me that I was actually made of chocolate after a long period of time I would start to believe her because she's my mom. But Does it make any sense that I would be made of Chocolate. Science people. Science. Ever heard of it?

It depends on how you define that word. There is no limit as to who God is with respect to a particular religion. Religion is more than man made. For example, believing in witchcraft that was cast by Wiccans brought result to my life in 2011 and that's very real. I have seen the result. I know the worked.

Maybe god is not real, but many of us think that God is real.
Depends upon your definition.
If you consider God to be the supreme force which creates and regulates all natural forces, then how can you deny such a presence?

If you are looking for an angry unbending male figure in heaven,
then you make the decision.

He could be....but then again, maybe not. Which god is real? Are any gods that we even know of real? There could be a god or several gods that humanity doesn't even know about. Maybe all gods are real. But...then, how could a stupid little human like any of us know? REALITY CHECK none of us are special. we're all the same. every...single...one of us. So, how could any of us really even know? Maybe humans just make up this stuff so they have SOMEONE to follow, to make themselves think that they're never alone in the dark...Think about what I've said for a few moments. No matter what you think...you're always depending on someone or something. Hope this helps...sort of.
