Three trips to the doctor for "sliced fingers" but no stitches were needed? If a finger is "sliced", that implies a deep cut. If three fingers are "sliced", that implies a serious wound. If they were "sliced", the ship's doctor would have sutured the cuts.
For a lawsuit, you would need proof of a serious injury as well as proof that it was the fault of the cruise line - such as photographs of the sharp edges of the railing. Without that, you have no cause of action.

Yes, you can make a claim. That is what General Liability insurance is for - & the ship would not be able to sail without it. Your injury would likely fall under the Medical Expense limit and your doctor bills could possibly be covered. Filling out an incident report at the time of your injury would have been helpful. Make sure you get documentation from your doctor for all of the treatment you have received. It will then be up to you to make the necessary phone calls to find the proper channels for which to get reimbursed. This could take a very, very long time. Unless your injuries are serious & permanent, it is doubtful that you will receive anything more than reimbursement for your medical bills. However, I am not an attorney, just a regular person, so please verify my answers with a professional in the legal or insurance industry. One more thing. Signs such as "at your own risk" are meant to make people more wary & more careful in areas that are hazardous. Just because there is a sign up, does not mean that someone who is legitimately injured is not entitled to ASK for reimbursement. Hope you find this information helpful.

Aw c'mon! Think about it. Enough people get minor injuries (which happen in life...), they sue to get some undeserved free money, cruise line has to put money into legal defense (to defend against what...accidents that are part of life?) ...what happens? Yup. Cruise prices go up. Now you (and lots of other people) can't afford to even go into a hot tub on a cruise ship.
Don't be a moron. Accidents happen, that is life. Playing the system is sleezy. You're fine, watch your step next time.

A Claim for what? Were you charged for the doctor visits?
anyway 3 trips for some cuts that didn't require stitches. Sounds like you are exaggerating something since you use the word 'sliced' yet all they did was bandage it up. Doesn't equal up.

No. YOU fell, the cruise line didn't push you down. You grabbed the railing wrong. Not the cruise line's fault either. People are way too sue happy these days.

if no stitches needed. it wasnt very deep and will not leave a lasting scar
