I have liked this girl at school since the 7th grade. I'm in 12th grade now and I still havent gotten anywhere with her because I am too shy around her. I joined a club that she was in at school this year to try to talk to her. I did manage to talk to her about a week ago for the first time and I even managed to get a few laughs and smiles out of her. I'm not sure If she likes me or not although she seemed to judging from all the laughs and smiles. However, my biggest problem is wondering if she has a boyfriend or not. It bothers me. I don't realy see her hang around any guys at school. She mostly just hangs around with her friends (who are all girls), but I did see her wave to a guy today at school. It might have been just a friendly thing but I don't know. I realy like her and I would like to go out on a date with her, but again I am not sure if she has a boyfriend already. Is there any way I can tell if she has a boyfriend and how should I go about asking her out?

Best covert way to find out! Have another friend, a girl perferably who this girl doesn't know come with you to something you are both doing, some kind of situation where you can talk or get to know each other type thing. And then have your female friend just directly ask at some point if she has a boyfriend. Girls always will see this move as just curious not like you are interested because girls are interested in that kind of thing.

Life is too short. Either ask her out or just ask her if she has a boyfriend. I have taken this same risk and lost out but you don't even stand a Chance if you don't ask. Remember, personal growth only occurs when you step outside of your comfort zone. Change is necessary, without change, you will never know how she feels or what she thinks about you.

Best of luck to you!

"friends with benefits" the is the worst that I hate in relationship, it doesn´t sound good to me, not that I am too conservative, but because I think that this doesn´t work because someone could fall in love and then what to do??Well, follow your heart, sometimes the girl is really lost and want to find someone better..Who knows if this guy cheats her too, there is some reason for her to call you. See before you ask her out, ask some questions, why is she calling you, ask directly, surprise her.If you feel that she is not honest so leave her, this kind doesn´t deserve anyone, just to be alone. You must try to find someone nice for you

Ask her if she has a boyfriend...that's really the only way to know for sure. You sound sweet though-ask her out to a movie or something!

Your time is running out! You're going to graduate soon, so you have to make a move, that's for sure. Try asking around at school, see if anyone knows. If no one knows, just ignore that possibility and ask her out.

Hey McMatrix, Im in 8th and having same problem. Trust me, rejection may be bad, but definately nowhere near as bad as letting her go.

ASK HER, DUH!!! What are you waiting for? If you're afraid to talk to her, she may not be interested in you. Are you sure she'd want to date you? If you're that afraid, you need to try with someone else. Don't waste your time or get rejected. That will hurt you even more.
