We've been together 11 months, which is a long time, yet sometimes it seems as if she's embarrassed to tell people I'm her boyfriend.
We were out with some friends of her parents and she seems uncomfortable when I put my arm around her. She seems embarrassed. Also, a 12 year old kid at the dinner table asked her "Is he your boyfriend?." My girlfriend says "Noooooo."
I'm just a bit bothered by it. We love each other very much, but I would never deny her like she does. Why do you think she's embarrassed or acts the way that she does? I'm confused.

Well maybe she didn't want to say anything around her parents friends because it probably was awkward for her.
But if she's saying that to everybody including friends, well maybe you want to talk to her and ask why she is acting out this way.

How are we supposed to know?! Ask her! Call her out on it! She says that she's not your gf? Major disrespect! You have to respect each other to have a real relationship. You should both comfortable with each other as well. Ask her what is going on.

I would hate to say this but...maybe she doesn't really have feelings for you or isn't ready for a real relationship. You should definately confront her about this. Tell her how it makes you feel, and ask her why she feels uncomfortable.

You'd have to ask her. She obviously has some serious reservations, so you could start by asking her what does she mean by love, the next time she tells you she loves you.

good question i have no clue sometimes my girl friend does not want to hold my hand in public. . .i talked to her about it and she said cuz shes not as touchy feely as me. .just ask her y shes emberrased
