Your teacher won't let you do anything you can't handle! Get your mom or dad to take you to a big empty parking lot one Sunday, and just practice driving slowly at first. You'll do great!

Don't speed, stay the speed limit or slower. If you go to fast then that's the only way you could possibly get into an accident (unless someone hits you). The instructor has their own break! They can stop the car at anytime unless your going too fast. Sometimes you don't know when to break or how much to break. The instructor will take care of it if need be. Also, don't be scared to ask for a different instructor if you don't feel comfortable enough with the first one. Feeling comfortable with the person you're driving with is key!!

Just try and calm down and remember that they are professionals and they are there to teach you everything you need to know. In time driving will be like second nature. No worries. Good Luck

Get a family member to take you to an empty parking lot for about a half hour and practice stopping, turning, and parking.. That's probably all you'll need to start feeling less scared. Best of luck.

Don't forget that Driver Ed was created to teach people who can't drive to drive, and when you begin the practice, your teacher will sit next to you and will help you learn the basics. Don't worry!

Forget about everyone else, first of all. You are doing this for you. It would be abnormal for someone who never drove, to not be nervous or scared.
Hopefully you will have a good teacher. You might tell him or her how you feel, so they are extra gentle with teaching you.
Good luck.

Not to scare you, but it's almost inevitable you're going to hit something. Maybe a car, maybe a wall. Just know you're not going to be perfect and you don't have to be. Everyone has problems when learning.
