religion "per se" is of very little importance.
what is important is YOUR personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
don't get hung up on "religion".
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

What the world is looking for in religion -- anything that sounds good to the individual

What am I looking for in religion? -- Truth even if it hurts

What does religion have to do to be acceptable or relevent today? Act as a vending machine.

I dont mind that people believe whatever they believe, its only natural to believe what makes sense to you. However, if there is a God, we cannot form Him into what we want, He is what He is... and it is US who need to change, not God.

To me Religion is a learning tool that is always there when I need it. My relationship with Jesus Christ is very personal and I dont often share the details with people. The only time I talk about Jesus is when I'm asked about him.

world is looking for honesty in faiths.

I am looking at Hinduism.

Eastern religions give great importance to humanity, I think they have to be accepted for this reason.

Human is always search of supernatural, so religion is not irrelevant.

Any time human beings talk faith, that's going to contain the examination of info. notwithstanding if or not the significant factors are suitable relies upon on those in contact interior the communicate. i'm able to accept as true with you while you're speaking with regards to the nonsensical comments and questions that are purely designed to offend, yet even a number of those are truly properly worth debate. regrettably, the tone of your question lends an air of intolerance for perspectives that are actually not interior your attitude (which won't be intentional??). i don't think in god (interior the classic monotheistic experience), yet I truly do not view something as being "perfect" in spite of the existence or non-existence of god. for this reason, what does that would desire to do with area of expertise? If I understrand your question, enable me supply you slightly foodstuff for concept (ie: not attempting to "convert" you to an concept, purely for the sake of clever discourse): If there's a god, then we would desire to settle for ourselves as not so good as that god. As inferior beings, we are actually unable to understand the universe which replace into created by that god. for this reason, all concepts attempting to define god or creation or the universe are valueless because of the fact our constrained minds are incapable of that concept. purely one thing to contemplate...

Religion is man made.
It's about Faith in GOD and Jesus Christ.
The message is the same today as it was 2,000 years ago even 4,000 years ago.
Society may change GOD remains the same.
