i got my braces off and i'm wearing a retainer only during nights, is it okay to use them? i didn't know if wearing the retainer would give me blotchy spots on my teeth. I wear the Plastic retainer not the wire one(on top) the bottom is wire.

My daughter used the strips to whiten her teeth for prom time. She's like you - - - - formerly had braces and wears a retainer at night when sleeping only. She didn't even have to do the treatment twice a day - - - mostly once a day. And you only have to wear the strips for something like 30 minutes (read directions). I could really tell that it made her teeth whiter. No blotchy spots and she had a beautiful smile. I think after you complete the treatment, it is supposed to have a lasting effect up to a few months (not sure). So if you only use them 2-3 times a year, then I think it would be okay for your teeth. Just ask your dentist if it is safe to keep using them at your next check up.

By the way, she used the generic Wal-mart brand. It is a little cheaper and worked just as well. You might want to do it a couple of hours before you put your retainer in for the night.

No, do no longer use them the day you get your braces off. i'm no longer one hundred% confident once you should, ask your dentist even as you're there. I do although strongly advise you do not whiten the day you get them off because your tooth want a touch "respiratory" time after having braces on them. also about Crest stepped forward Whitening Strips, do no longer anticipate prompt consequences because they don't seem to be as chemically stong as in place of work whitening. using the over the counter whitening will whiten your tooth, yet will take a protracted era of time.

I don't recommend using Crest white strips. It has been shown on the news that they seriously reduce the enable of your teeth making them more susceptible to cavities and gingivitis, and if you have sensitive teeth....forget about it.

If your worried about blotches, then using the strips shouldn't hurt. But I doubt that the plasic retainer would cause blotches.
