You're way off! Actually, I'd say at least 40% now are muslim. Its much easier to get paroled if the prisoner states they're religious. The really intelligent ones go buddist though, they get fresh fruit & veggies. It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with parole. Whatever religion they profess to honor gets lost the second they walk out those doors.

its actually not 98 percent it is approx. 45. The majority of those converted to christianity during prison. Look up the stats. Actually if you really want to get technical, extremist Islamist groups are known for going into prisons to convert to islam. (I'm not bashing islam, just to be clear)

OK, let's think about this.
Are these people in jail for crimes associated with Christianity? No?
Did a great many of them convert in prison?
Is it possible that some of them are claiming to be Christians, but aren't? Some 80% of the people in the US claim to be Christians...do you think all of them are actually following Jesus Christ?
Did you know that Christians are sinners, just like everyone else?
Jesus does.......

Not true. It is extremely rare for a Christian to go to prison, but it does happen. Many attempt to of fake conversion after imprisonment in hopes of leniency with the paroll board. Some actually do convert, but not that many.

I seriously doubt that they were Christians before they were convicted of their crimes. A lot of inmates find God while in prison due to prison ministries I know God can change people, but I still wouldn't trust them.

Because Christian groups go into prisons to visit the prisoners and lead church services etc..

Most criminals convert to Christianity after being incarcerated. I've known my share of ex convicts and most of them didn't really believe in God til they were in prison.

In America? You did not say.

But, this is true in America because most of the population here is Christian. Well, they say they are Christian, as it is just the ''thing to do''.

Willing to bet it's an "impress the parole board" move.

Thank goodness Wicca isn't so well respected. That would be friggin' annoying.

They might claim to be for benefits such as early release or sympathy. I do not truly believe they are all believers in their hearts. Only God knows for sure. Call me doubting Thomas!
