While i was chatting, i was given some files i have them in my documents i opened them while i was still chatting and i could read them, but now when i click on it to open it it opens word and says:
Word can not open this document: user does not have access privilages
What should i do?

Login as an Administrator and then open the files. Once your logged in as an administrator you should then be able to change ownership back to your normal account, of course this relies on you having administrative access to the computer.

this is why you don't run files you get sent by email or chat...
...you'll probably find when you reboot your computer you can't get back into it, or at the very least there is now a backdoor to allow the person who sent you the files into your computer whenever they want.
update your virus scanner then disconnect your computer from the internet. run a full system virus scan on your pc.

Try opening them in Notepad for now. At least you can see the documents...

right click on the document select run as...
type your windows login username and password

Try closing and reopening Word. If that doesn't work reboot your computer.
