Hey this sounds very familiar... My bf and I do this to each other alot these days. I become defensive because we are so different and alot of the times I cannot agree with the way he thinks... so when he tries to get his point across, I get a bit annoyed and go on defensive mode. Sometimes I know he is right but I guess I become a bit stubborn... As for the comparing thing I think it has to do with self esteem issues because I compare myself with the ladies from the past only because sometimes I feel I'm not good enough... which I know is not true but girls have their ups and downs and we react on it the only way we know how.... ok most girls... My bf compares himself to my exs alot, sometimes in a jokingly way but other times because he feels he is not doing enough.

So what should you do? Well what we do after our argument (which happens after every time the above is brought up) we talk about what we can do to so this doesnt happen anymore... to become better partners so we have no doubts. I tell him how I feel, that he is the best bf and what he can do to be better fit for me and vise versa. As for the defensive thing... all you can really do is give her time to calm down. It takes me a couple of minutes but it takes my bf a day or two...

Well... sorry if this doesn't help you in any way!

Be happy she did this "BEFORE" you married her. You're a lucky man and don't even know it. Now get the heck away from her before you find yourself in a tux, in a church next Saturday saying, "I Do"...for the rest of your natural life.
