omg i was on one this year!!! ya i was on that one with the red and white stripes and the big eagle. i did that cuz there were auditions at highschool choirs around the country. just get involved in things you do best, whether its singing, or marching band or whatever and practice. a lot of times highschools will be selected to do certain things. but youll prbly not be on one like a solo unless u get famous or something. but ya it is such a great experience being up there watching the excitement in even the adults eyes if you make eye contact with them and wave. its so great to just see the ppl having a good time cuz of your float and its also great to have video cameras zoomin around u everywhere its awesome! good luck on getting there!
