then they back tracked and changed their mind. If it's in the Bible, how can they change it?
The same goes for test tube babies. The church didn't believe these babies would have souls, but of course they do.
How can the church just change what is 'true' to suit them?

Dogma. It can do what you want.

If you want to have a good approach, check the history of abortion and the church. Opinions have changed over the centuries

No where in the Bible does it say that stillborn babies don't go to heaven. That is a Catholic doctrine which is separate from the Bible. So the Bible hasn't been altered, the Catholic Catechism has. As far as test tube babies not having souls, that is not Biblical either, it's church doctrine. According to the Bible, a human is created when egg and sperm meet. So, whether that is naturally or in a test tube, it doesn't matter....what matters is that God created the baby and chose to do so in a tube for women who cannot conceive naturally. He creates life, he also creates the technology to give us life. Please don't confuse Biblical fact with church doctrine...two very different things.

There was once a St. Christopher as well. And the world was flat, the sun went around the earth and the pope is infallible.

Oh, wait, the pope is infallible. Hmmm... I could go places with that but I will not.

The church tried to make us believe lots of things, some of it from stories, yes stories, in the bible. Yes, they change their mind as it suits them.

Why? Because they can, and people still believe them.

What was it PT Barnum used to say - There's a sucker born every minute.

Test tube babies and still born babies do not go to heaven. The church was right on that at least. And now you are saying they were right in changing their minds? It seems to me you are having problems with your convictions. You had better settle down before you are gobbled up by that boogie man Satan. Or you will never get to your La la land of eternity. OO

Its because as gods mind changed on right and wrong, so did ours. Umm hello its so obveous. I know its hard to understand, but gods right and wrong can change. Cmon now. As politics change and recruitments are low, god just changes the rules a little and bang, all the new stillborns go to heaven..

Actually, in christain defense, this is just interpretation of the bible. Since the bible dosnt mention any thing of it, its complete speculation. So really, niether of the two oppinions are really gods will, since no one has any ways of knowing.

Man is not perfect. Just like Scientist are always changing and updating theories when new information comes to light. But one thing that never changes is God's word in the Bible. Read it. There will be a test.

That does not mean it is so. The church has upheld many a falsehood. In fact, stillborn babies are carried to heaven in birth blankets by the Creator's angels.

Cuz they are making it all up?
I don't think the babies thing is in the bible. A lot of "christianity" isn't in the bible. It was invented by popes and the church.

In 418 CE, a Catholic Church council decided that every human child is born demonic as a result of its sexual conception, because the baby inherits the sins of their parents―thus automatically damned unless baptized.

Good ol' original sin. If it was valid then, why is it rejected now?

The notion of "where" a human's soul is and "when" a human obtains its soul has been a subject of philosophical and theological debate for centuries by prominent scholars, philosophers, and theologians. This is, by no means, an exclusively modern issue.
