I have begun to realise that the people who do that are the ones that are afraid of commitment, or the ones that were never taught that sex is supposed to be special. Sometimes it is because of a trumatic event in the persons life (ie: rape, molestation, or cheating BF/GF). I was raised to believe that it was special and that only a special person gets to share in it with me, but not everyone is raised that way. It is a very sad aspect of our "modern" society, but also a very true one. Sex is used a a tool, a weapon, and a punishment....but very rarely is regarded as anything special.
I have many friends that use sex as a confidence booster, whenever they feel bad about themselves all they have to do is go out and find a guy to make them feel better....they just dont know how to feel better on their own.

The reason why people have meaningless sex, is because they are not in relationships or they are getting bored of there current relationship.
Also the thing with meaningless sex, you don't feel guilty about it in the morning, your both ageed that it was just a bit of fun with no strings, that way, no one get's hurt do they.

Love and sex are two different entities and you are trying to combine the two in your reality of what's right and meaningful. We procreate out of a strong need to propagate our species and that need is extremely strong, right next to hunger and basic survival. When all is well on the homestead, our basic needs are being met, then we are free to mate. A loving and sexual relationship is the ideal, but it may not be every ones goal at that time in their lives.

Usually because they are horny, drink lonely or all three. Maybe to have fun but in the world today with the diseases you should be careful with random hook ups.
