The English verb "look" can only take an adverb or a prepositional phrase with "like". You would have to add a nominal clause by inserting "to be" in order to use option A.

Both are NOT acceptable. People have made a false analogy from sentences like "of the two, he is the better (driver, etc.)" and extended it to other verbs. This is limited to some dialects and is NOT standard. In fact, the verb "looks" cannot take a direct object (it takes the preposition "at") and the meaning here is adverbial anyway, so there's no way a noun (the only kind of word modified by "the") is appropriate there.
