Can Muslims marry someone that is not a Muslim?

A man can only marry a women who is not a muslim if she is jew or christian. But not an atheist. Women can't marry non muslim men.

The prophet mohamed married a jewish woman and also married a christian woman.

The reason why a muslim woman can't marry a non muslim is because the child the is born is automaticlly the same as the father.

If the father is not muslim than the child wouldn't be a muslim.

No this is not sexism, if you believe it is. then judiasm is sexest since the child is the same as the mother. when it comes to the religion.

Muslim men can marry Jewish and Christian women, as the religion of the child goes with the father's religion. Muslim women can marry only Muslim men, so the children's religion will be Islam.

The Quran states openly that men may take monotheistic women who are chaste as their wives. Monotheistic meanign they could be Jewish or Christian.

The Quran however does not say yes or no to allowing a muslim woman into marrying a monotheistic man.

But I as a muslim woman firmly believe that if God allowed the male to do so, He would also allow the female. As there are no verses that contradict this claim.

Only one verse in the quran mentions women marrying into other religions and that is the one that does not allow a muslim woman to marry pagans.

Pagans and monotheistic men are two different things tho.
