i don't think you can get rid of them, they will fade as the years go by

There really is no way to get rid of them except waiting for them to fade as years past. You can also use cocoa butter cream on them to help them fade faster. What causes them is when the skin stretches due to weight gain or being pregnant and then after you lose the weight the skin goes back but the stretch marks stick around.
Hope this helps and good luck!

if you have NEW stretch marks in the past year I have read/heard they can be treated and go away. If they have been there a long time then there is not anything you can do. Cover them up with a dermablend product if it makes you unhappy. However, nothing takes them permanently away. I have them, and learned too late that if for a short period of time they can be treated.

What causes them? Growth can cause them, pregnancy can cause them, gaining weight can cause them, or heriditary genes.

Also, don't be embarassed to ask your doctor about them. If they don't answer you and blow it off, then ask them who would be able to help you or answer your questions, or second opinion... I have doctors that say "oh that is what happens when you get older" or some sort. That is not the answer to my question. I want to know WHAT is happening. Your parents can help a lot in this. I finally asked my Mom and she tells me the truth about it, what to do about it, and what works and doesn't work.

Good luck.

Stretch marks are caused by a number of things; the most common being rapid growth. For example, the development of breasts and putting on weight in other areas.

Stretch marks that are pink in colour are relatively new and you have a better chance of fading them as opposed to those that have taken on a silvery hue.

Your best bet would be to use Vitamin E creams or a product called' Bio Oil'.

Good luck

you can buy scar creams from stores like walmart, which will help your stretch marks, but unfortunatly there is no way to get rid of them altogether, without surgery. But these creams will help. As far as whaat causes them I dont know. I have 5 children and I have no stretch marks at all, so I am very lucky. So I hope it helps and by getting your stomach back in shape like with situps or something that will also help. Good Luck!!!!

Well i used to have stretch marks in some places like above my breast and other places, but the thing that made me mad is that I only weigh like 115 pounds, so i was like where is this coming from. They come from extra fat, or when a certain part of your body is bigger than the rest, like my breast are 34 D on my skinny body. So to get rid of them i bought cocoa butter, if your a woman of color than this should help get rid of them very quickly. If not, then it will still work, but i reccomment that you just ask your doctor or use drug store products. FADE creams will only make the area lighter.

strech marks are usually the result of sudden weight loss! u can try applying cocoa butter or pure almond oil to reduce them. stretch marks don't go away quickly but they will fade after a time.
