That is my question for those of you who think 'celibacy drives Catholic priests to molest.'

Ha, I think that's a fair analogy...I think it's more likely that either molestors seek the Church for help or the seek professions that will allow them access to young children (ie priest, coach, teacher)...
And no, I wouldn't by the way...

You misunderstand me.

I don't think celibacy drives priests to molest. I think that the celibacy requirement PREVENTS normal non-child molesting men from taking the job.

It's still a cause and effect type of situation, just not the one that you're insinuating.
