Seriously.
I've got friends in the area, and the areas around NOLA (ie, Slidell) are far, FAR ahead of NOLA. NOLA still hasn't scooped up the mountains of trash left over from a year ago. NOLA's government makes Detroit look downright honest and well-run -- in the past, that was considered "cute" and "colorful" but now it is a human tragedy.
