You sleep with someone without the commitment of a real relationship. No strings.

Downfall of course is when someone falls for the other and ends up getting hurt. It doesn't always happen but I can tell you sometimes it does and then it really hurts!

Basically being a friend with someone else, and sleeping with them. There is no boyfriend or girlfriend stuff.....it's just sex with a friend. The old terminology for this is "booty call". It's a lot more common than people think, or are willing to admit to. Usually if someone just wants friends with benefits thing....you just talk to each other and be honest and go from there.

It is when you have sex with a friend with no expectation of the relationship going any farther. It seems to be somewhat common in the college community in the US. However it has been my experience that it doesnt always work out in the way it was meant to. Someone usually ends up hurt, or with more feelings then the other person. Usually if one of your friends says they want that it means that they are into you, but dont know if you are into them, and so would rather take what they can get. But, be warned....usually that is the person who has the most feelings, and the one who will be the most hurt if the situation doesnt work out.

A friend with benefits, is someone who uses another person for whatever reason.

Say for instance, you hang out with someone who has a car and you need to go somewhere. That friend is always willing to take you. BUT if you happen to ask that friend for a ride and she /he told you they didn't have a car anymore and you never called them back again, that's using that person for your benefit. That's wrong to do. I hope this answers your question.

friends with benefits is basically a "booty call". Just sex between two people who happen to be acquaintances. Both partners are mainly satisfying a need for sex without commitment of a relationship or to each other.--, they are "using"each other. The problem occurs when one partners has romantic feelings and the other doesn't.
I have been on both sides and eventually damaged the friendship

friends with benefits means that you are "friends" but that you have sex with the person. Usually you can tell if someone is like that if all the time you spend with that person is doing those things.. if he or she only calls at night or always says "lets stay in," those are good signs.

I would like to think that the vast majority of Americans would find this distasteful.? Friends with benefits means the relationship includes no-strings attached sex. The best way to know is ask.
