I have not taken it, she says that they are called sominex or somas//I thought sominex was a sleeping pill?? Anyone know about them?

Is the brand name "Soma"? Soma is the brand name for CARISOPRODOL which is prescribe for pain relief of various pains and spasms.

However, like most have already said, you should never take prescription medicine not prescribed for you. Doctors prescribe medicines based on their patient's size and health history. Your neighbor, although trying to be helpful, doesn't know your health history. Her prescription could be too strong for you, or worse yet, just cause a deadly reaction in you.

sominex is a sleeping pill. Look at the bottle she gave you and get the correct name of it before you take it.

That is a sleeping pill. (it's over the counter)
Do not take other peoples prescription meds.. it's illegal and dangerous!
HOwever, that is OTC & will not hlep your back
(ACTUALLY.. get the correct spelling.. it could be many many differant things. I work in a pharmacy.. you cant "guess" with drug names>)
Go see a doctor

Muscle relaxers - the best natural one is in the grocery store - molasses. One swig will do you wonders. But for your health find out what is causing it so you wont need any.

don't take meds that haven't bee prescribed for you...you have no idea what this neighbor could have given you even though they say it's a muscle relaxer,for all you know you could be allergic to it or if you take any other meds it could interfere with those meds

Give it back to her. One should never share prescriptions or use some else's prescription.
And see your doctor for a diagnosis and your own prescription or recommendations.

If it was a prescription med...Soma.
Best thing you did was not take it. If OTC medicines don't help with the pain consult with your doctor.

sominax is a sleeping pill but sonoma's is a muscle relaxer. They are very strong though so be careful.

never take someone elses pills. Thats how you die. You have no idea why they were perscribed them, if you are allergic to them or if they will interact with other meds you are taking. Its also illegal.
